We do not use piercing guns. Guns crush tissue, cannot be fully sterilized between clients, and cause more complications in children than in adults. Maddie uses single-use sterile needles for every ear piercing, including your child's first. This is the safer, more professional approach.
All initial ear piercing jewelry is implant-grade titanium or solid 14k gold. These biocompatible, nickel-free materials are specifically chosen to minimize irritation and support healthy healing. No mystery metals, no cheap alloys, nothing that can cause allergic reactions.

Maddie provides complete written aftercare instructions. The basics: spray the piercing with sterile saline solution twice daily, do not rotate or touch the jewelry, avoid swimming pools and oceans during healing, and do not change the jewelry until fully healed. Do not use harsh soaps, alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide on the piercing. The most important thing is to leave it alone and keep it clean.
This is completely normal, and Maddie is experienced with nervous first-time clients of all ages. She explains every step before doing it, moves at your child's pace, and will not rush the process. If your child needs a moment to collect themselves before the piercing, that moment is available. Most children are surprised by how manageable the experience is.
Yes. Both lobes can be pierced in a single visit. Maddie will mark both sides before piercing to confirm symmetry, and you can review placement before anything happens. For very young children or those who are especially nervous, it is sometimes better to do one ear at a time, but this is a conversation Maddie will have with you during the consultation.

LITHA, Leave It The Hell Alone. Saline twice daily. No pool, ocean, or hot tub until fully healed. Don't swap jewelry. Healing windows vary by piercing type, and Maddie covers your specific timeline before you leave.
HEALED
The full jewelry library opens up, lighter gauges, decorative pieces, statement pairings. Maddie does jewelry changes too. Bring in pieces you've collected and she'll put them in.
